Dr. Thomas Lam

Dr. Thomas Lam has qualified FRACS in both General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and practises as a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. He is a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at the Westmead, Auburn & Bankstown Public Hospitals as well as the Westmead, SAN and Canada Bay Private Hospitals.
He is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). His other memberships include the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), International Society of Surgeons (ISS), Asian Surgical Association (ASA), Australian Medical Association (AMA), NSW Hand surgery Association (NSWHSA), Australia & New Zealand Head & Neck Society and corresponding member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Lam is an Associate Clinical Lecturer at the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney. His research interest is in the area of Breast Reconstruction after Mastectomy for Cancer, which will be the topic of his PhD thesis.
Dr. Lam's special interests are in skin cancer surgery, breast surgery including implants, reduction and reconstruction as well as other cosmetic plastic surgery including abdominoplasty ('tummy tucks'), liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelids and facelifts. |
